St. Patrick's Day Makeup Tutorial

hello there lovelies !
as St. Patrick's Day aka Paddy's Day is just around the corner, I thought it's a great opportunity to show you what I came up with. Paddy's Day is all about fun, celebrating being Irish, wearing something green and in general just having fun. I posted this picture on my facebook page as well as instagram, and I promised to do a tutorial on it. Let's get crackin's, shall we ?

finished look

step by step:

1. Apply eyeshadow base onto your lid, as it prevents the eyeshadow from creasing. I also did my brows, as I usually do and applied some concealer to define my brows.

2. Sweep soft brown, slightly shimmery eyeshadow above the crease. This will be the transition shade and it will help with blending the eyeshadows later on.

3. On a flat brush, apply lime-green eyeshadow to the entire lid, softly blending in out to towards transition colour.

4. On a soft, blending brush, apply deep, matte green colour to the crease of an eye, blending upwards. Also, apply it to the outer corner of an eye to create more smokey effect.

5. Re-apply the same eyeshadow to intensify the colour.

6. Next, apply the same green eyeshadow to the outer corner of a lower lid. To the inner corner, apply the same colour that you used on the lid.

7. Finish it off with winged eyeliner, and few coats of mascara.
you can also add some false lashes.

what are your plans for St. Patrick's Day ?

hope you liked it

Drag Queen Inspired Makeup

hello there lovelies !
long time no see, huh ? I am super busy with college work and all but I want to show you makeup that I created last Thursday. It was very spontaneous and I am super happy with it. I posted the picture on my facebook page and so many people loved it and I got few questions on what products I used and all sorts of things.
It is dragqueen-inspired look. I know that this isn't something you'd normally wear on a daily basis but I always admired drag queens as they put lot of effort into their looks and you can actually learn so many different, usefull makeup applicaion techniques. Also I like playing around with makeup and yes, I love the finished look.
here's the finished look(with an instagram filter)

details of the makeup.
I started of with the eyes, just to avoid any mess with eyeshadow fall outs etc.
first I've drawn my 'new' crease line using black kohl pencil and then blended it out a bit using black and burgundy eyeshadows. This gave me a sharp edge but that's exactly what I wanted. Then I applied gold pigment onto the moving part of the lid to really make the eyes pop and glittery.
Once I've done that I used liquid eyeliner to create winged line and then I joined top and bottom lid with the gel liner and blended all out to create smokey effect.
At the end I applied false lashes from Ardell - Demi Wispies.

once I've done the eyes, I moved in to the the rest of the face.
first I used L'oreal true match foundation in W4 to give me tanned and slightly darker base. I applied two layers of the foundation to give me high coverage and flawless finish.
Then I moved on to highlight the face using L'oreal Lumi Highlighting Concealer in light. I used it to highlight under my eyes, centre of the forehead, my nose, cupid's bow and my chin. I blended all out with my Real Techniques Sponge.
Once I highlighted my skin, it was time for a dramatic contour. For that I used my Sleek Makeup Contour Kit in Medium. I applied it to the hollows of my cheekbones, my temples, around my hairline, my nose (which you can clearly see as it's dramatic and strong, but that's what I wanted) and underneath my jaw line to really sculpt the face. I set my whole face with UD de-slick setting spray

my face was all ready now, so it was time for the lips. I first overdrawn my lips with a plum lip liner from oriflame, then filled my entire lips with it and then I applied L'oreal lipstick in 203 Rock 'N Mauve.
To make the lips look even fuller, I applied a dot of concealer to the centre of the lips.

I love drag queen makeup, because it's dramatic, fun and absolutely amazing !
I will definitely create more drag-inspired looks in the future.

Makeup Updates !

hello there lovelies !
what you've been all up to ? I'm just fine however I can't find time to do like a step-by-step tutorial, because when I do that it turns out bad and I'm not happy with it. However, when I do spontaneous looks, they turn out amazing so here's few looks that I created over the past few weeks.

subtle gold and silvery brown smokeye eye
beyonce - ''mine'' inspired look
fun, pink, purple and a bit of gold.
deep blues and greens - aqua inspired look
today's deep green smokey eye.

neutral golden glitter and black smokeye eye with a dramatic wing.

do you like any of these looks ?

Brown Smokey Eye with a Glitter Wing

hello there lovelies !
I am really sorry for not blogging recently, but I've been kind of busy with my Christmas shopping and all, but today I've got for you something cool. Today I am going to show you what I came up with when, a friend asked me to do some makeup for Christmas / New Year's.
At first, I didn't know what to create, because people expect lots of glitter, sparkle and shimmery eyes. I am not a big fan of loose glitter, because it can get messy and then I am not a very happy human being. But, the other day I popped into boots and I found an awesome thing, called Glam Crystals Dazzling Gel Liner from Collection. They come in few different colours, and they're all amazing, but the Funk just cought my eye. It's a very subtle, gold colour and here's what I created with this.

First of all I created very deep, brown smokeye eye with a very strong black eyeshadow in the crease.
Then I applied the glitter liner and winged it out. On the top of the liner I applied a thin line of a black liquid eyeliner.

It is a very simple look and it's perfect for those who are not so sure about the glitter and also for those who want a bit of sparkle on their eyelids.

I would wear this with a nude lip on Christmas Day or New Year's Eve.

do you like it ?

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year Girls !

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review

hello there lovelies !
today, I thought I would share with you my thoughts about the Real Techniques Sponge which I bought few days ago.

Real Techniques Brushes are designed by the incredible, talented and gorgeous makeup artists and youtube beauty guru's Samantha and Nicola Chapman (pixiwoo sisters). I am a big fan of Real Techniques Brushes, because they are very soft, affordable, easy to clean and just in one word - amazing, so my expectations were high before I bought it.

I like using makeup sponges on myself as well as others when applying foundation or concealer, because they give very natural flawless finish. Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge was designed to have 3 functions. This sponge is very soft and it blends the foundation beautifully. I use this sponge everyday for my Rimmel Match Perfection and Revlon Colorstay and I must say that it works really well for both of these foundations.
I am very happy with this purchase because I always wanted to get a beauty blender but I never got round to it, and it is more expensive than the Real Techniques Sponge. I bought mine in boots for 5,89 euro.

1. Flat edge: it blends the foundation really well around the eyes and nose.

2. Sides: the sides of the sponge are round so it makes it easy to blend out the foundation on the large areas of the face such as chin, cheeks and forehead.

3. Tip: amazing for blending out the imperfections on the face.

Have you tried this yet ? What are your thoughts ?

Mid-week Creativity Fun !

hello there lovelies !

how are you all keeping ? At the moment, I am a bit sick, but antibiotics are working and I am feeling much better. This is also my second last week in college before this loooong (6 weeks!) Christmas break and I've few exams coming up, so I am studying a bit, just to have some idea how to answer the questions on the day. haha, but it's not all about study - sometimes you need to take a small break and do something fun, and when I say fun - I mean makeup-fun !

so earlier today, while sitting down at my desk I've decided to experiment a bit with some creative makeup (again) because amazing people such as Karla Powell inspire me to do stuff like this. If you don't know Karla, she's an amazing makeup artist, who's known for her incredible makeup art work. Check out her instagram for some inspiration, and be in awe how creative this Lady is !

anyway, as I mentioned, I've had some fun with purples today - oh God, I love purples soooo much ! and this is what I created.

flawless face, contoured using purple eyeshadow on the cheeks and a lighter one along the nose.
purple smokey eye, and cream eyelashes.
Also, bright fake-looking eyebrows using eyeshadows.

Ombre lips using plum lip pencil and highlighted in the middle using sparkly, shimmery baby pink/purple.
and here's the photo that I took with concealer-whitened eyebrows

what do you think about it ?
do you like creative makeup ?

love you

Copper and Brown makeup ! for all eye colours

hello there lovelies !

so, as you know I have brown eyes, and I usually do makeup that would suit my eye colour, and people ask me very often if I could do something that would suit green and blue eyes. So today, I did coppery and brown makeup, which suits all eye colours, including brown, blue and green eyes.

this is the finished look:

now follow these steps to recreate it:

1. Start off with an eyeshadow base, which helps eyeshadow last longer and it prevents the eyeshadow from creasing.

2. Use slightly shimmery eyeshadow to highlight your brow bone, and inner corner of an eye. I used the powder highlighter from Sleek Contour Kit.

3. Sweep soft, warm, brown eyeshadow above your crease, this will act as a transition colour and it will help to blend out the darker colour later.

4. Now use dark brown matte eyeshadow to define your crease. This will deepen the eye, and also it will make the eye look more smokey.

5. Then, apply coppery/orangy shimmery colour to the entire lid.

6. Next, draw a thin line along the lashes, and slightly wing it out.

7. Mix the two brown, matte eyeshadow that you used before, and apply them to the lower lid with a fluffy brush.

8. Use waterproof eyeliner to line your waterline, and then use a bit of black eyeshadow to smoke it out.

9. Apply as many coats of your favourite mascara as you want to the top and bottom lashes, and you're done :D

hope you like it !
